Calling all catnip-heads
As part of setting up my sewing room, I've discovered that I have a ton of goofy silly fun cat fabric:
I've started cutting ... a small portion ... of it up to make more of those velcro-closed catnip squares that Heather showed me how to make years ago. They're cheap, they're awesome, they're washable, and they've got to be one of the best cat toys ever: two squares sewn together on three sides, and the fourth side is closed by velcro:
Open toy. Dump out old catnip. Add new. Close velcro. Toss to cat.
Crystal refers to these as "Tenzing's make-out squares" because of how he'll grasp them with his paws, bring them to his face, and rub and ... uh, suck ... on them. It's simultaneously gross and hilarious.
Want one (or three)? Speak up. Send me your snailmail address in email (amy [at] domesticat.net) or DM it to me on twitter or send me a message on Facebook. I'll bang on these and get them mailed out. You'll have to supply your own 'nip but you're good cat owners and you've already got a supply, right?

I swear by these for my kitty
I swear by these for my kitty girls. They all go a little crazy for them when I load them up with fresh catnip (especially the super-special brand from Penzey's). They don't do EXACTLY what Tenzing does, but they do something similar (that's not so gross).
We could use one for Jasmine!

Phoebe could probably use one
Phoebe could probably use one too given her love affair with all things 'cat'.
My mom has a purse with that
My mom has a purse with that bottom fabric, I've seen the top right one before, and I think the top left one is adorable.
Thank goodness I don't collect fabric, or I'd be in trouble if this is any indication of the cat-ish ones out there.
