New skin: glacial
As promised, I've made available another new skin, "glacial." This skin is intended to serve as a companion to 'pazdziernika' (autumn) and as an equal and opposite to 'gothgirl.' It's light—snow and ice—as opposed to the intense earthy colors of autumn.
My intent is to move toward putting together suites of skins. The first suite, obviously, would be the four seasons. Eventually I'll work toward finishing up skins for spring and summer.I still have a backlog of a few skins to finish up and post, but I'll get to them in due course. I figure the two new ones will keep you all placid for now, which will allow me to resume the tasks I put aside to finish up these two skins.
A quick check of my 'workups' directory tells me that I've got 3 skins in prep stages right now. There's "damage," which is based around horizontal stripes (and I don't really like that much). I have no idea if I'll even finish it. There are also 2 ideas for 'glacial' which I set aside, both of which use the same picture I used for 'glacial,' but in very different ways. They don't have titles yet, which should give you an idea of how much further they have to go before they see the light of day.
Then there are always the previously-discarded ideas, which I keep around just for the purpose of idea-raiding. I've got about four of those—one of which I raided to create 'glacial.' I keep even my discarded ideas around because most of them have at least the germ of a good idea in there somewhere. When I'm stuck, I'll poke around in all of my archived designs, and more often than not, something will jump out at me that gives me an idea on how to finish my current skin.
Doesn't mean I'm going to show those discarded skins to anyone else, though.
