New skin: ironworks

domesticat's picture

Five?” he said, somewhat incredulously. “You have five designs sitting on your computer right now? Why don’t you actually finish one of them?”

Not a bad idea, that. Therefore, I present skin number fourteen, “ironworks.” It’s definitely for CSS-capable browsers. If you’re interested, wander over to the skins page and take a look.

Who knows, maybe I’ll finish the other four unfinished designs, too. Post comments if you run into any problems, or (better yet) can confirm happiness in browsers aside from IE6 and Mozilla.

Just wanted to drop a line and say how much I like the new skin. Hard to describe why I like it. It gives me a feeling of antiquity. hard to describe, but it's really nice.

heh. Funny to have someone say that. The skin originally had a heavily-modified photo of some ironwork from the cemetery back home -- thus the name. I couldn't get the graphic to show up (consistently) like I wanted it to, so I've taken it out for the time being until I get it right.

Sam -- Please send me a screenshot, and let me know what browser/OS combo you're using. I'll see if it's something I can fix. Boredelf -- mozilla's gotten a lot better since last year; I suspect that if you download a new version things will play much nicer. I've noticed significant changes over just the past couple of months; can't imagine how much has changed over a year.

I think I'm getting the same thing as Sam. I'm running Mozilla 0.9.5 under RH 7.1. What it looks like is the border box around the main entry is set for 100% of the window instead of 100% of the page, if that makes any sense.

I've taken the border out. The border is dead....long live the... *shuts up*

Hey, who was that who was talking smack about you having five designs on your machine? :D

It looks much better in Mozilla0.9.7 :) (my previous version was 0.7)
