Slowly, though Vermont

I'm about to head out on the road again, and thanks to a quirk of airlines, I'll be flying into Vermont and out through Boston. I'm doing it purely so I can roadtrip through Vermont, and see what there is to see.

I have no idea what I'll see, but I'm taking my new camera rig.

Any suggestions?

Wondering why Vermont? See this map, and it'll make sense:

In 2011: 37 states.
In 2012: 39 states.
Now: 41.

With planning, I think I can cross off Wisconsin and maybe Vermont in 2013. This image was posted after finally knocking North and South Carolina off the unvisited list.Where I've been, the early-2013 edition

Time to cross New England off of the list, once and for all!

There are several wineries, cideries and other neat things in Vermont, e.g. Woodchuck Cider from Vermont Hard Cider Company in Middlebury, VT. Or maybe that's just me :)

There is a Norman Rockwell house/studio that is Interesting.  Can't remembers he town name, but it's an hour drive from the Mass border.

When we went several years ago. we visited the Vermont Teddy Bear, Cabot cheese, and Ben and Jerry's factories. All were pretty fun. We drove for a bit, too. It's beautiful in that area. We stumbled across a yarn/fabric store while driving, but I'm afraid I don't remember the name. Enjoy!

You're missing Wisconsin! Here's what to do this summer: Fly in to Milwaukee (just north of Chicago), grab a car and drive north to Cedarburg where the Wisconsin Quilt Museum will have something interesting. Then drive up to the Sheboygan area and stay on a Wednesday evening at 52 Stafford where (Wednesday evenings only) you'll hear outstanding Irish music jamming, and not just a little by one or two people, you'll see. Then, since you're right there at Kohler, do take time to visit their design center. (If you have any remodeling that has to do with a sink, you'll be inspired. Plan on spending more than an hour just on a casual stroll, or longer for the factory tour.) Then finish your visit in Door County. ...Egg Harbor, Fish Creek, Sister Bay, Ephraim -- sun and water heaven. Green Bay (which you'll pass on the way up to The Door) has an international airport, so your good to go anywhere from there, unless you decide to relocate. Hope all those links work....
