For now, silence.

Dad.

August 4, 1945—March 19, 2002.

My mother stood by his left side, stroking his shoulder. My sister held his right hand, and I his left. Dad quietly stopped breathing at 5:31 p.m.

We were not surprised. We'd had several hours of warning.

Dad is no longer in pain. For this, I smile.

My father was a founding member of the Tull fire department, and it was one of the things that he cared about most. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the following:

I only got one chance to meet him, but during that one meeting, I got the impression of a wonderful man. He will be missed on earth, but will live on in your hearts and memories.

My condolences to you and your family.

my warm condolence...

I have been very upset the last few days knowing my uncle was in so much pain and had only a matter of time to live. Dad called last night and I knew immediately what he had to say. I'm so sorry Amy. I wish I could be there right now with you and everyone in our family.

My sincerest condolences to you and yours....

God bless and protect him. My heart is with you.

Hey Aims, you know how we feel, here is your *hug* from Huntsvegas....

Seems like his children are a magnificent epitaph...thanks for sharing your struggles with us. Really.

We'll be continuing to keep you and your family in our thoughts in the coming weeks. Much love and strength to you! Suzan
