Hunting for trainer #4
Score: trainers 3, domesticats 0.I'm now in the market for yet another personal trainer. Val emailed me a couple of nights ago to let me know that due to personal time constraints, she would no longer be able to train me.
(This is the part where I scream out loud -- a lot -- in frustration.)
I don't need to immediately find someone new; at most, I only meet with a trainer once every six weeks, but I was due for a six-week evaluation in early September. However, techops and DCTV-related work have kept me so busy, and a few blood-sugar crashes have kept me tired enough, that I have concentrated almost exclusively on cardio work and haven't done much weightlifting.
I can probably get another good four to six weeks out of my current weightlifting regimen, which will give me time to get back from dragon*con 2004, recover a bit, then hunt for someone new that I can trust.
Most of my struggles at the gym lately can be directly traced to techops and DCTV; as dc2004 creeps closer I find my time becoming ever more devoted to completing parts of this year's presentation and making sure that the tech staff bits I baby (website, mailing list, staff database, shifts signup form, etc.) are all ready to roll.
Still, it's better than last year.
I'm grateful that Val gave me some lead time. I just really, really wish we could have done one more training session either directly before or after dragon*con.
…but we don't always get what we want, do we?
