Daunting and fabulous

Next to last city. Since a week ago today I have been in:

  • Huntsville, Alabama
  • Atlanta, Georgia
  • Detroit, Michigan
  • Minneapolis, Minnesota (technically Eden Prairie and St. Paul but who's counting?)
  • Denver, Colorado
  • Fort Collins, Colorado

I remain here until Saturday afternoon, when we'll switch back to Denver one last time. I fly home Sunday.

Ready, set, technoquilt!

I have little of use or consequence to say, but I'd like to note that all of the stars have been brought to the end of Stage One: Partial Assembly.

See these, down at the bottom of this photo?  All sewn now, baby:

The quilting table is back in business, on a very different project than the one I just finished.  'Red shift' contained a very limited color spectrum (crimson fading to black) and I'd hoped that my next project would be a bit more colorful and free-form.

I've gotten my wish.

When nerds party

Here's what my friends do on Sunday mornings when they roost at my house.

Congratulations to Jason and Crystal

Congratulations to Jason and Crystal, who threw a rockin' masquerade-themed wedding on top of Burritt Mountain last night.  A few of us:

Ascension?

I've mentioned this off and on, but today is the day!  In a few hours, we'll pick up the giant 4x4 needed to ascend to the summit of Mauna Kea.
